About Us

Gulf Coast Lighting, Done Right

Island Lighting is a family-owned outdoor lighting company serving Sarasota, Venice, and Manatee County. We design, install, and maintain landscape lighting systems built from solid brass fixtures, the only material that holds up long-term in Florida's coastal environment.

Every project starts with a free on-site visit. We walk the property, understand what you're looking for, and show you exactly what the finished result will look like before any work begins.

Outdoor Lighting Services

The Material Difference

Built to Endure
Florida's Coast

In our salt-heavy coastal environment, aluminum and composite fixtures are temporary. They pit, flake, and fail within seasons. We exclusively utilize Professional-Grade Solid Cast Brass.

  • Lifetime Warranty

Solid brass doesn't rust or corrode. If a housing ever fails, we replace it for free, guaranteed for life.

  • Coastal Resilience

Our fixtures develop a natural patina that protects the metal from salt spray, only becoming more beautiful with time.

  • Precision Engineering

Internal silicone seals and moisture-tight sockets prevent the #1 cause of failure: coastal humidity.

Florida's salt air and coastal humidity destroy aluminum fixtures within a few seasons because they pit, corrode, and fail. Solid cast brass is naturally resilient, does not rust, and develops a beautiful protective patina over time. Every brass fixture we install is backed by a lifetime warranty.

The barrier islands across Sarasota and Manatee County (including Siesta Key, Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach) have strict ordinances protecting nesting sea turtles. We design with turtle-safe principles: low-voltage, downward-shielded fixtures using amber/warm wavelengths under 3000K. Your system will be beautiful and fully compliant.

Florida's fast-growing landscape means lighting systems need periodic care to stay at their best. Our maintenance plans cover lens cleaning, fixture re-aiming as plants grow, foliage trimming around fixtures, and voltage testing to prevent drop. We keep your system performing exactly as it was designed.
